Links calling mapped network drives?

I keep getting "page cannot be displayed" when calling .htm and .pdf files on network drives. I've tried taking the actual path (S:\folder\folder\folder\file.htm) and using the file:\\\ prefix. Neither work when pulling from the created menu.

Any ideas?

First try your links in regular HTML link (<a href="">text</a>) on a static page, then when you see it is working you can move what's inside href to menu's link. Your problem doesn't relate to the menu script.
