integer validation accepts + & -
when f is set to integer
the field accepts + and -
it should not
any suggestions

Integers can be positive and negative so I don't see a problem here.

then..
why make the distinction in the script?
f:'unsigned' -vs- f:'integer'
performs exactly the same.
There are those (of us) who would like to validate only pos (or perhaps neg) integers.
