Tree Menu Pro - Auto Collapse

By default it seems that if a node is open and another node is opened on the same level than the previous node is closed. Is there a way to disable this auto close feature?

It's not like that by default. You probably have modified script or external event handler attached to the tree. One of the sample event handlers from the product documentation works exactly as you described.
