Pulldown menu not showing on thin client

Hi, we have a tigra gold pulldown menu like this.
menu1 ---- menu 2 --- menu3
- sub 1.1 - sub 2.1 - sub 3.1
- sub 1.2 - sub 2.2 - sub 3.2
- sub 2.3

on clicking on menu1, menu2 or menu3 an empty white 'frame' is shown for the subs. This occures in a thin client environment (windows embedded). On a normal windows XP machine, the menu works fine.

What could be the cause?

The browser you're using may be incompatible. View help->about and see if that browser/version is listed in the menu's compatibility list.

The browser used is IE 6.0.2800.1106 NL
However, it works on an Evo T20 thin client on both a color depth of 16 as well as on 32bits.

It does NOT work on a EVO T5300 or EVO T5520 thin client in 32-bits color depth.
It does work on a EVO T5300 or EVO T5520 thin client in 16-bits color depth.

Of course I would like to use 32-bits color depth on all the thin clients.

What could be the cause?
