Scroller does not seem to accept width in %

When I specify the size for the scroller box, if I set the width and height to 100% (or any %, for that matter), the scroller stops working and throws JavaScript errors. Is there any way to get around this problem?

Width and height of the scroller are assumed to have absolute values in pixels.

Width and height in %

So there is no way to get around this problem (i.e., to modify the scroller to autosize itself to % of browser width and height)?
